Contemporary Modern Dance
A mix of dance styles developed over the last century infusing modern, lyrical, ballet, jazz dance and physical theatre. It is also a creative dance form enabling students to create shapes with their bodies and connect mind and body through fluid movements.
Contemporary is now a dominant genre for formally trained dancers throughout the world and it is very popular at Prima with several of our students accepted on the national CAT (Centre of Advanced Training) schemes at Laban.
Students may participate in both our non-syllabus classes leading to regular performance opportunities; or follow the IDTA Modern Contemporary graded syllabus offered through the IDTA (5+ yrs)
